Report: Flixborough (Lincs)

Patrick Ottaway has prepared a report including a catalogue and discussion of over 2000 iron objects from the important Anglo-Saxon settlement (excavated by Humber Archaeology Partnership) at Flixborough, N. Lincolnshire.  A report on a small group of coffin fittings has appeared in The Early Medieval Settlement Remains from Flixborough, Lincolnshire: The Occupation Sequence, c.AD600 - 1000, Excavations at Flixborough Vol. 1,  eds C. Loveluck and D. Atkinson (2007), 122-4. The main body of the report has just been published as Life and Economy at Early Medieval Flixborough, c.AD600 - 1000: The Artefact Evidence, Excavations at Flixborough Vol.2, eds D.H. Evans and C. Loveluck. Both volumes and the two others in the series are funded by English Heritage and are available through Oxbow Books.
