Selby, James Street
May 2010 | ID Planning
A desk-top study of a site in James Street, Selby was commissioned from PJO Archaeology by ID Planning (Leeds) on behalf of Selby Carpet Warehouse in respect of a planning application. By use of old maps and records of archaeological finds in the area the study was able to show that the site stood in former Selby Abbey precinct, perhaps in or adjacent to the abbey pond.
